Air medical transports 30.12.2024.
The Helicopter Service of the Republic of Srpska today conducted two air medical transports, saving the lives of patients in critical medical situations.
The first transport was carried out from Trebinje to the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka. The patient, born in 1978, was admitted to the hospital yesterday due to a myocardial infarction and was referred to the UCC RS for urgent coronary angiography.
The second transport was also conducted from Trebinje, where a patient had been hospitalized after falling from a height. The patient was transferred to the UCC RS and admitted to the abdominal surgery department for further treatment.
With these operations, the number of air medical transports conducted in 2024 has reached 79, while the total number of such missions since the establishment of the air medical transport service has risen to 474.
The Helicopter Service continues its humanitarian mission, providing essential medical assistance to patients in their most critical moments and demonstrating its vital role in the healthcare system of the Republic of Srpska.
