Helicopter Service of the Republic of Srpska is a non-commercial operator responsible for the performance of several types of flight operations.
Certain types of flight operations (training and technical flights) are performed in order for flight and technical personnel to maintain a high level of training and readiness for flight operations, while other types of operations arose as the result of the need of society for HsRS to provide assistance in emergency situations to the people of the Republic of Srpska.
EMERGENCY FLIGHTS
Providing assistance to population in overcoming natural disasters (floods, fires, earthquakes, snowdrifts, etc.).
FLIGHTS FOR THE PURPOS OF AIR MEDICAL TRANSPORT
Transporting stable patients, medical staff and similar. These flights are conducted in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Srpska and Helicopter service of RS and are conducted under special procedures that are defined in this agreement.
FLIGHTS FOR OWN PURPOSES
Flights for performance of official duties of the President of the Republic of Srpska, President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska and Ministers in the Government of the Republic of Srpska.
FLIGHTS FOR SPECIAL POLICE OPERATIONS
Flights performed in accordance with the Agreement on cooperation between Helicopter service and Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS, under prescribed procedures defined by the agreement.
TECHNICAL FLIGHTS
Flights after the completion of maintenance tasks on a helicopter and flights for the purpose of establishing and eliminating defects.
TRAINING FLIGHTS
Mandatory pilot training flights and regular checks of all flight personnel.
